Ashy talk

Ashton has become quite the talker...Sometimes he is voicing his actual thoughts and other times he is just repeating what we say. He says "I don't like it" when he wants to stop or change activities and "I like it" when things are going right. He tucks in his stuffed animals in his crib and says "night night boys!", recently he has started saying "love you" and "thank you". He can even count to 5. But nothing tops what he said tonight. I was getting Ash ready for bed and as I was changing his diaper he tooted. Well, with that came a smile and then he stated "that reeks!". Does it get any better than that?

Tic Tac Nose

Yesterday morning Ashton and I were coming home from a very successful swim class. This is the second one he has taken at the YMCA and he is amazing! He loves to throw toys in the water and swim to them, butterfly style. He has no problem jumping into the pool and after becoming completely submerged in the water after going down the slide into the water he came up all grins. Well, on the drive home I thought he did so well that he deserved a treat. Unfortunately all I had were orange flavored Tic Tacs. I gave him one and he ate it and asked for another one. I handed it over and about 30 seconds later he started whining and saying "nose". When I looked back at him I saw an orange stream of goo coming out of his nose. He was getting scared and started shoving his finger up his nose in an attempt to remove the lodged tic tac only to push it farther in. Half a mile later we were home, I explained to Tyler the situation, he held down the screaming Ashton and after four attempts I successfully removed the tic tac with Isaac's nose sucker. Needless to say, lesson learned.

He rolls!!!

Yesterday morning I had Isaac on his play mat and I REALLY REALLY wanted him to roll over. I've been working with him by shaking different toys he likes above his head while he is on his tummy. He does well tracking the toy but then yesterday he kept moving to get into a better viewing position and after nearly rolling over three times, he turned onto his back the 4th try! HOORAY!!! Ashton and I were clapping and cheering him on and he looked so happy! What a feat! Then today I put him on his belly again and this time with little provocation he rolled over 3 times! What a stud! Tyler still hasn't seen it so I need to get in camera for some sweet proof. Way to go Isaac!

Playgroup

One thing our church has are a lot of activity groups for the women. I like to attend Recipe group, Quilt group (which is currently taking a break) and Playgroup. Today we made it over to Watson Park after our original destination was closed. I was worried because we didn't have jackets and it was windy, but I'm glad we went! The kids got to run around, go down slides, swing, etc. Luckily I had my camera and got some great pics of the cute little ones! Click on the collage for a close up!

The giggles

So today we finally caught on video what I should have caught a month ago. Ashton has a special talent of making Isaac laugh. There is no rhyme or reason to it really, but it's cuter than heck! Today in particular it was Ashton jumping on the bed that let the laugh loose. I love my boys!
